Last night, the ASMP-ONC chapter held it’s annual Member’s Holiday Party / “Holiday Shoot-out”. Participants were given 10 minutes to photograph any of the mystery objects, which were not seen until they had entered the shooting area.

The two quest judges, John Lionti from Liggett Stashower and Barbara Coleman from the Cleveland Clinic, were assigned the task of choosing the winners. Below are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the Holiday Shoot-out.

In 2010, Jennie Jones, a well known photographer donated some 22,000 images to the Michael Schwartz Library, Special Collections at Cleveland State University, representing thirty years of her work as an architectural and fine art photographer. Cleveland Inside Outside, published by Orange Frazer Press will be released on October14, 2011 at the Bonfoey Gallery, 1710 Euclid Avenue from 5PM to 8PM with an exhibition representing a few of the 230 color images to be found in the book. It is a large 12 x 12 hard bound coffee table edition and will retail for $49.95. It is a journey of visual surprises with stunning images of Cleveland from 1981-2011.  Cleveland Inside Outside reminds us of the courage and daring of the men and women who built our cities and is a powerful statement of the author’s passion for her adopted city.

ASMP/ONC member Yvonne Sanderson will display her 30’ long series entitled “Alphabet Aerials” at the Notre Dame College Clara Fritzsche Library this February through March.

With her pilot husband Mark at the controls of their Cessna 172 aircraft, Yvonne created this personal project over 2.5 years of flying other commissioned work – from Ohio to the upper Midwest and the east coast of the United States. Yvonne has combined her passion for photography and love of aviation throughout her 23 year career as a professional photographer.

All are welcome to attend the opening reception Thursday, Feb 11^th from 5 to 7:00 pm. Letters will be for sale and light refreshments served.
